Searches for a SIM tracker, a live tracker or a SIM owner details app all hope for the same thing: type a number and see the person. This page explains what those tools actually do, and what works instead.

Is there a real SIM tracker in Pakistan?

Not for the public. A mobile network knows roughly where a phone is, because the phone connects to its towers. That information is released only to investigators, through legal process.

So a website or app that calls itself a SIM tracker or a live tracker has no live location to show, and no access to SIM owner details either.

What "live tracker SIM data" sites actually show

  1. You type a mobile number. The site records it.
  2. A loading animation runs, to look like a search of a real database.
  3. The result is a guessed city, an invented name, or a record from old leaked data that is sold as "fresh SIM data".
  4. For "full details" or a "live location", you are sent to a WhatsApp contact or a payment page.

The network that issued a number can be read from its code, which is why a tracker can seem to know something. That is public information, and the network tool on this site shows it for free.

SIM owner details apps and APK files

No app has access to PTA's registration records. A SIM owner details app can only show what a tracker website shows.

The bigger risk is the app itself. An APK file sent by link, or downloaded from outside the official app stores, is a common way for malware to reach a phone. An app that can read your SMS can read the codes your bank sends you.

Before you install any SIM app

  • Install only from Google Play or the App Store.
  • Check the publisher. An operator's app is published by the operator itself.
  • Refuse apps that ask to read your SMS or contacts without a clear reason.
  • Never install an APK file that arrives in a message.

Tools that people search for by name

Many lookup tools and "SIM data" services are searched for by brand name. PTA's own services have no brand: they are 668, cnic.sims.pk, 667 and the WhatsApp assistant on 0315-0055055. A tool with any other name is not reading PTA's record, whatever it claims.

If you need a caller identified

When a number is being used for fraud, blackmail or threats, report it to the NCCIA cybercrime helpline on 1799. Investigators can get the owner and location records from the operator through legal process, which no tracker can do. The steps are in SIM owner details by number.

Common questions

Is there a live tracker for SIM data in Pakistan?

No. There is no public service that shows a SIM's live location or owner. Sites that call themselves a live tracker show guessed or invented results.

Is there a SIM owner details app?

No app has access to PTA's registration records. Apps that claim to show SIM owner details use invented or leaked data.

Is it safe to install a SIM owner details APK?

No. APK files from links or unofficial sites are a common way for malware to reach a phone, and such apps cannot show real owner details.

Can I track a SIM's location by number?

No. Location records are held by the operators and are released only to investigators through legal process.

How do I find my own lost phone?

Use the find-my-phone service from Google or Apple if it was switched on, and call your operator to block the SIM.
